ODC School invites guest artists to come teach Int/Adv classes in the Hot Spot on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays. Keep an eye out for whoís coming to the Dance!
Investigate the emotional body inside release technique and improvisational practice with Cookie Harrist. How can the body comment upon itself in order to heighten the emotional resonance of the movement? Physical skill-building will include intensive work with falling/gravity, activating large areas of space, and following impulses through their organic conclusion. In class, we'll center joy over precision, allowing over planning, and risk over perfection. While geared towards experienced movers, all are welcome.
