Thank you for being part of ODC. We love dancing with and for you, and treasure that you are part of our ODC community.
ODC Suspends on-site classes:
Join some of our teachers and beloved community online where we can continue your dance practice while our physical studio doors are closed through May 3. We launched ODC Classes At-Home. These classes will be live-streamed via Zoom.
Price: $9 Online Drop In, or use your class card. These charges will help us provide important income for our faculty, accompanists, and supporting staff.
For ODC Adult Program and R&M students:
We are automatically extending the expiration date of Arts Access and class card credits to reflect the number of days of this suspension.
For Youth and Teen students and families:
Let’s keep moving from home!
As announcements are made that San Francisco’s shelter in place measure has been extended until May 1st, we are glad to continue adapting to the times by providing our Youth & Teen curriculum online. We are committed to keep offering dance education to our young students with direct connection to our faculty, their peers, and community.
ODC suspends performances:
In view of our mutual wellbeing, we have made the disheartening but necessary decision to postpone our YBCA March performances. We are so grateful to you for having purchased tickets and as the date of our intended opening comes and goes, we want to address our unfulfilled performances.
Please consider these choices:
1. Hold on to your ticket and use it for the ODC/Dance postponed performances tentatively scheduled for June 25-28 at YBCA. (Pending determination on May 15th of public assembly safety.)
2. Request a refund.
3. Transform the price of your ticket into a tax-deductible contribution to ODC's survival as we confront the critical and continuing loss of our operational streams of revenue (school tuition, theater, and company concert tickets, theater/facility space rentals, annual gala).
In this rare and difficult situation, we hope, if you are in a position to do so, you will seriously consider donating your ticket/s back to ODC to help us weather the enormous financial impact of this global crisis. We are keenly worried about the impact of closure on our scores of art workers, especially those for whom working from home is not possible.
Please let us know by April 5th by reaching out to firstname.lastname@example.org, so that we may plan accordingly.
We are all part of this world-altering story. How we respond will also make up our collective legacy.
To your health and our mutual strength,
Founder & Artistic Director
