Deb Garcia

Deb Leiolaniikamalamalamaokeao (Leiolani) Garcia's love for hula began at age 5. She is a Kumu Hula (teacher), has been dancing hula for over 50 years, and teaching hula classes for over 30 years in the San Francisco Bay Area. With a mission to preserve and perpetuate Hawaiian culture, Kumu Leiolani spends her life learning, teaching and sharing through hula. She has studied with Kumu Hula Tiare Clifford and Kumu Hula Patrick Makuakane. Kumu Leiolani has been teaching hula to a gracious ladies class in San Mateo since 2010 and at ODC Dance Commons since 2022.
