Our Young Creative curriculum offers students an opportunity to experience movement that is age appropriate and complementary to their development within a nurturing and structured framework. Emphasizing rhythm, spatial awareness, movement quality, and ensemble dance, these classes aim to cultivate a joy for dance while laying the foundation for future dance study.

Re-enrollment into the spring session begins on November 1, 2026, and is required for all Young Creative classes.

About Young Creative Classes
- Little Rabbits (Ages 2-4)
Little Rabbits is a guardian and dancer participatory class designed to give our youngest students their first exposure to the dance studio. Dancers are encouraged to explore movement in a fun, creative and supportive environment. Little Rabbits offers a joyful experience in which guardians enjoy music and move alongside their young dancer.
- Morning Moves (Ages 3-4)
Morning Moves blends movement, music, and rhythm. In this class, dancers will move along with their instructors without the company of a guardian in the studio. Students develop coordination and confidence by expressing themselves in new and creative ways. They learn to take direction within the context of a dance class, as well as studio etiquette
- Junior Contemporary Movers (Ages 4-6) / Junior Ballet Movers (Ages 4-6)
Dancers in either genre of Junior Movers build on existing skills and are introduced to the basics of contemporary dance and ballet. Taught by professionals in either genre, students work in groups to learn rhythm, musicality, and to experience the sheer joy of dance. These classes prepare the student for future dance technique training while engaging the individual and igniting the creative process.
- Kid Contemporary (Ages 6-7)*
Kid Contemporary advances into more complex patterns of movement including walking, jumping, skipping, stillness, and gesture. This class introduces choreography with across the floor movement, combinations, and prepares dancers for on stage performances and future technique classes.
- Welcome to Hip Hop (Ages 6-7)*
Welcome to Hip Hop is a high-energy class that will fuse hip hop and creative movement while exposing students to dance fundamentals. Dancers learn choreography from the instructor, and develop their technical skills through creative games emphasizing rhythm, musicality and attitude.
*In the spring session, these classes participate in the May Showcase, May 15-16, 2027, or in a guardian observation at the end of the Session
