New full length version of The Velveteen Rabbit previews at Stanford Lively Arts and open in San Diego, sets and costumes by Brian Wildsmith.
The ODC School and Theater collaborate to create the Pilot program which supports emerging choreographers. Artists among the 50+ Pilot presenations over the years have included: Sarah Michelson, Chris Black, Lizz Roman, Nora Chipaumire, Kara Davis, Amy Seiwert, Eric Kupers, Kelly Kemp, Brittany Brown Ceres and Jacinta Vlach.

Way choreographs Ghosts of an Old Ceremony, commissioned by The Walker Arts Center and the Minnesota Orchestra, featuring a commissioned score by Libby Larsen and constumes by Eleanor Coppola.
Janice Garrett joins the ODC School faculty and becomes one of the best contemporary teachers in the Bay Area.
Lori Laqua joins ODC as Development Assistant to eventually rise to Managing Director.

KT creates River which garners triple Isadora Duncan nominations for outstanding choreography, music score and performance.
Brenda is co-commissioned by Cal Performances, Rutgers Univeristy and Jacob's Pillow to create Western Women, performed with Women's Philharmonic Orchestra and Bobby McFerrin's Voicestra at Zellerbach Hall.
