CORPOREALITY [lemons/lemonade] Activating embodied intelligence in motion as means of perception, intuition and agency. CORPOREALITY is an intimate and animated arena for improvisational exploration that encourages sensate virtuosity, kinetic efficiency, interactive intelligence, serious fun and full on dancing.
Kathleen Hermesdorf is a dance artist, maker and educator based in San Francisco. She directs ALTERNATIVA, with musician Albert Mathias, since 1999, and is the producer of FRESH Festival of Experimental Dance, Music + Performance which recently celebrated a decade of art, action and interaction. She co-directs PORCH summerschool with Stephanie Maher at Ponderosa in Germany, also celebrating its 10th year. Hermesdorf has been dancing in the Bay Area since 1991, performing in the companies of Margaret Jenkins and Contraband/Sara Shelton Mann, and teaching, performing, improvising, curating and presenting work locally, nationally and internationally. www.la-alternativa.us | www.freshfestival.org | www.ponderosa-dance.de
