We know the production of dance and performance requires studio time, but what about the other work: the reading, research and conversations beneath and around what ends up onstage? When a performance is re-staged, how do these aspects of the art continue? Monique Jenkinson’s piece C*NT, or, the Horror of Nothing to See, scheduled to return to ODC in June 2020, postponed to June 2021, lives on!
Witness and participate in a virtual conversation between Monique Jenkinson and dramaturgs Nicole Archer and Jesse Hewit about C*NT, or, the Horror of Nothing to See, how it came to be, how it continues and how it will manifest its next incarnation.
Monique Jenkinson and her drag queen alter-ego Fauxnique create performance at the intersection of Cabaret and Contemporary Dance, touring nationally and internationally in wide-ranging contexts from nightclubs to theaters to museums. She made herstory as the first cis-woman to win a major drag queen pageant and is writing a memoir.
