*Video Submission – Show us what ya got by submitting a video to email@example.com: we value strong ballet technique, partnering ability, brazen courage, appetite, nuance, idiosyncrasy, generosity, discipline, humor. Dance for us. Talk to us. Execute a task. 5-min max.
Dancers must have a strong technical background in ballet, at least two years professional dancing experience, and be eligible to work in the United States. The class, taught by our inspiring ballet teacher, Sandra Chinn, will be geared to the reality of a sheltering-at-home dancer – it will be judicious, cognizant of the impossibility of incorporating the grand gestures of our art form.
That is, in great measure, why we have asked to get to know you in a different way, namely the requested video. We would love to hear who you are before we see you on Friday. If that timing proves impossible for some reason, you can forward it to us next week. (We will also record the class.) Artistry resides at many levels and you might say that this audition will probe a more personal and subtly articulated realm. We are all adapting!
ODC/Dance company members receive an exclusive 38-42 week contract that includes group health care benefits, free and reduced Pilates services, and free dance classes at ODC. In addition they partake in an exciting and demanding performance schedule featuring two major home seasons, extensive touring nationally and internationally, and a collaborative choreographic process.
Space is limited! If the audition is full please email firstname.lastname@example.org to secure your place on the wait list.
