Brianna Torres

Brianna Torres

This piece is an archive of listening. A collection of sonnets of my heart and my excavations into my own grief, joy, cycles of impermanence, indigeneity, and softness as it supports and is in relation to the collective.

About the artist

Brianna Elyse Torres (she/her) is a Boricua movement artist, child of the diaspora, healer, platano lover, and birthworker currently rooted on Lisjan Ohlone lands. Brianna is an alumni of Laguardia Performing Arts High School and the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance. She is a deep believer in movement as a way to heal, grieve, and access collective joy. She is interested in the ways we can all learn from softness, meditation, poetry, and Indigenous ways of healing and listening to self. Brianna approaches dance with a ferocity, deep reverence to the art form, and collaborative nature. She is honored to have space to share current musings and intimate inquiries with an audience.
