Allí 0 Allá (There 0 There)– is an archival pursuit and reclamatory study of diasporic bodies, the inquiry into how to define “home” and “motherland.” Through the poetic language of movement, evocative soundscapes, and immersive theatrics, Natalya Shoaf, Chinchin Hsu, Bria Monet Barfield, and Brianna Elyse Torres narrate a journey rooted in culture, community and heart.
About the artist
Brianna Elyse Torres (she/her) is a Nuyorican movement artist, child of the Caribbean diaspora, healer, educator, and birthworker currently rooted on Ohlone lands. Brianna is an alumni of Laguardia Performing Arts High School and the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance. She is a deep believer in movement as a way to heal, grieve, and access collective joy. Brianna is deeply honored to share space with current musings and intimate inquiries with collaborators and audience members.
