"ODC Theater Festival’s golden anniversary party pivots its array of dance talents to film"
– Rachel Howard, San Francisco Chronicle
Immerse yourself in a visual array of innovative works, created specifically for a digital experience. ODC Theater kicks into gear this summer with its annual festival! Two weeks of virtual events will feature repertory, premieres, and in-process work by the artists originally scheduled to appear in 2020’s Walking Distance Dance Festival, and more.
Among the highlights will be a world premiere film by ODC Theater Resident Artist Antoine Hunter (Purple Fire Crow), as well as works by NAKA Dance Theater, Catherine Galasso and Dave Cerf, Margaret Jenkins and Rinde Eckert, Geoff and Dan Hoyle, Garrett + Moulton Productions, Robert Moses’ Kin, Hope Mohr and Maxe Crandall, and Monique Jenkinson/Fauxnique. We’ll kick it off featuring films by ODC/Dance and the 2021 awardees of the Opportunity Fund at ODC Theater: Jeremy Bannon-Neches, Nicole Maria Hoffschneider, and Noah Wang.
Celebrate a historic community, joined by present and emerging creatives of today and tomorrow. ODC Theater’s 2021 artists rise to the occasion, and we'll gather digitally to see the art they continue to make in an ever-evolving landscape.
