Anastasia Ryzhova

Anastasia Ryzhova’s dance journey started as a child in Ukraine, at a hip hop studio where she also learned the basics of classic movement. Her passion has always been in street dance culture, where she started exploring freestyle street dancing with b-boys, poppers, rappers and beatmakers. She traveled to numerous dance battles in Eastern Europe, was part of 2 crews, ran a dance company, and taught hip hop, jazz, and funk dance classes. Her house dance journey began upon her arrival in the United States and meeting teacher and mentor Shinobi Jaxx. Anastasia’s House Dance Basics class not only teaches House Dance Basics, but also introduces students to the huge, strong, respectful community through creative expression to the music we love: house music.
