Emily Morrison
Emily is a movement artist, ISMETA-certified Somatic Movement Educator and Therapist, and Guild-Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner®️. She received her professional dance training in New York City through Fordham University’s BFA program in partnership with The Ailey School, and has performed professionally in New York and San Francisco with artists including Janice Garrett, Troy Ogilvie, Alison Cook Beatty, and Johannes Wieland.
It was turning toward her living body that made this career possible. As a late-starting dancer, Emily discovered in somatic practice a precise and compassionate way to rewire habits and develop efficient technique. What began as curiosity became a guiding force in her life—transforming not only how she dances, but how she meets life’s challenges and openings for growth. Through periods of intensity, transition, and grief, this work has offered her a way to listen inward, move what words cannot, and deepen her sense of self.
Emily now supports others in reconnecting with their bodies’ natural intelligence through private sessions and group classes, restoring a sense of belonging to their embodied selves and trust in how they move, feel, and live.
