Kathryn Florez is the Artistic Director of Fullstop Dance, a project-based contemporary dance company founded in SF in 2015, as well as a freelance performer and teacher. Florez's work has been presented all over the West Coast, and her choreography and teaching have been commissioned by The Merde Project, TWObigsteps, SALT Dance's Link Program, Shawl Anderson Dance Center and ODC's Hot Spot. Her choreographic work has been presented at Bay Area’s ODC Theater, Palace of Fine Arts, Cowell Theater, Little Boxes Theater, Mission Dance Theater, Joe Goode Annex, and LEVY Dance, as well as Nevada City’s Miner’s Foundry Cultural Center. Through Fullstop Dance, she's performed in works by internationally acclaimed choreographers including Nicole Von Arx, Tushrik Fredericks and Kirill Berezovski (Germany). Florez is currently working with David Herrera Performance Company and recently performed at Stanford’s Bing Concert Hall as a backup dancer for singer and performer, iskwe. As a performer, Florez has worked with Amy Foley, Amy Seiwert, Robert Moses, ZiRu Dance, and others. She was Berkeley Ballet Theater's Artist in Residence from 2021-2022 and has previously held residencies at SAFEhouse Arts and LEVYdance.
