ODC Dance Commons

The Company workshop is ODC’s annual weeklong immersive experience working directly with Founder and Artistic Director Brenda Way and the ODC/Dance dancers. Throughout the week we train together, create together, learn repertoire, see performances, discuss art and break bread. This is a chance to really get to know the company, and, importantly, for us to get to know you. Participation in the full week is required, although partial participation may be granted on a case by case basis. This year, the workshop will also be an opportunity to be considered to fill two current Company openings. We are looking for dancers from any gender identities.
Dancers joining ODC must have a strong technical background in ballet, professional performance experience, and be eligible to work in the United States.
ODC/Dance Company members receive an exclusive full year contract that includes group health care benefits, dance classes at ODC, free and reduced cost Pilates services, and other opt-in benefits. In addition, they participate in an exciting and demanding performance schedule including two annual home seasons, domestic and international touring, and a collaborative choreographic process.

We value strong ballet technique, partnering ability, creativity, discipline, and in the personal domain, generosity, courage, nuance, humor, and other interests. Dance for us. Talk to us. Five minute or shorter videos must be submitted by July 15th to be considered.
