Monica Ascencio

Monica Ascencio (She/Ella) from SF, CA believes that dance brings healing and builds community. She discovered her passion for Latin dance while being introduced to the salsa scene of San Francisco, California more than 18 years ago. What started as a hobby soon developed into a passion and a form of expression in the arts. Monica continued her studies in Brazilian, Latin and Spanish dance with local and international teachers. Monica has been an active performer in Carnaval SF contingents, in social events in the Bay Area, in Latin and Brazilian dance.
