A work in progress showing of new research by Ivan Blagajcevic (Evalyn Eatdith) with Mica Sigourney. A choreography of two solos for one person; on two bodies. In absence of a protagonist, the performers circle around a singular persona attempting a description, a suggestion and even union. The research scratches the surface of the performers’ relationships to faggotry, sissiness and the social cues of sexuality.
This is an ongoing research initiated in October through a residency supported by the Cultural Department of the city of Zurich and ODC.
Ivan Blagajcevic is a professional dancer, maker, teacher, performer and a drag queen. He has studied at Theaterschool Amsterdam, Bachelor in Dance. He was award as the best male dancer on a Dance Platform in Almada, Portugal. He worked with numerous national and international choreographers and companies: Marie-Caroline Hominal, Bollwerk, flowingdancecompany, Solo Danza am Werk, Opera House Zürich, VRUM, öff öff, Somafon, just to name the few.
