YOUTH Drop-in online classes

A selection of popular classes from our Young Creative Program for ages 3-7 are now available to all families on a drop-in basis through Zoom.

Our stellar faculty is committed to inventive thinking and cross-training in different disciplines while fostering a sense of well-being and the joy of movement. They delight in the creative potential of young people and are experienced and skilled online teachers.

Price: $15 per class: 4 class pass, $55

Drop-In Online Class Schedule

  • Afternoon Moves with KJ Dahlaw | Ages 3-4

    Tuesdays, 3:30-4:10 PM

    Blending movement, music, and rhythm, this class introduces students to creative dance. Students develop coordination and confidence by expressing themselves in new ways, and begin to learn how to take direction within the context of a dance class.

  • Jr. Ballet Movers with Ayana Yonesaka | Ages 4-5

    Mondays, 3:00-3:40 PM

    Students build on existing skills and are introduced to the basics of ballet. Students experience creative learning, rhythm and musicality training, and the sheer joy of dance. These classes prepare the student for future dance technique training, while engaging the individual and igniting the creative process.

  • Jr. Contemporary Movers with Ky Frances | Ages 5-6

    Thursdays, 4:00-4:40 PM

    Students build on existing skills and are introduced to the basics of contemporary dance. Students experience creative learning, rhythm and musicality training, and the sheer joy of dance. These classes prepare the student for future dance technique training, while engaging the individual and igniting the creative process.

  • Kid Dance with Lindsay Leonard | Ages 6-7

    Mondays, 3:30-4:00 PM

    With a foundation in play and imagination, young dancers will practice basic motor skills  (walking, jumping, skipping, stillness, and gesture) with an emphasis on rhythm, spatial awareness, movement quality, and joy. Kid Dance lays the foundation for future technique classes while further immersing students in a fun dynamic dance experience.

WEEKEND CLASSES FOR YOUNG CREATIVE, YOUTH & TEEN STUDENTS

Each summer, ODC offers a selection of classes from our Young Creative and Youth & Teen curriculum. Students learn technique fundamentals while being introduced to an immersive dance studio experience. All classes encourage individual expression within a welcoming and structured environment.

Ages 3-16
June 13 – August 2, 2020
Tuition: $144
A trial class is available for new students for $20. Prorated tuition is avaialble for those starting after the first class.
